Good weed is hard to grow at scale. It’s even harder to grow it consistently, month after month. At Josh D we’ve spent years developing our genetics and growing techniques, learning from the plant how it wants to be treated in our indoor facilities and in each appellation of our greenhouse locations. It’s amazing what you can learn from a plant, if you just slow down and observe. The more love you put in, the more it gives back.
At last month’s Emerald Cup in California, the nation’s largest and most competitive cannabis competition, Josh D grown flower won 1st, 5th, 7th and 10th place in the Mixed Light category. No other grower placed more than two products in the Top 10. In 2018, our first year adapting our growing techniques to a greenhouse environment, we were awarded 2nd and 9th place at the same contest. Winning in 2019 was a great honor, but we are most excited about the consistency of excellence from year to year.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” This quote is widely attributed to Aristotle, but more likely was from the English philosopher, Will Durant, writing about Aristotle. Either way, he was addressing the real challenge of consistently performing at a high level. Our world is full of ‘one hit wonders’, flash in the pan teams, everyone’s 15 minutes of fame. Truly rare are the great bands, sports dynasties and people who are interesting over long periods of time. These are where we get our inspiration.
At Josh D we want our customers to be confident that every jar, every pre-roll and every cart is full of well-grown flower that provides a satisfying and consistent experience. Every time.
