L.A. Bites: CVT Soft Serve

Ice cream and cannabis go together like peanut butter and jelly, especially on a hot day, when the sweetness and coolness give our mouth a sensory workout. In other words, it’s a top choice on the munchie-satisfying spectrum. The roving CVT Soft Serve truck (CVT is short for Chocolate, Vanilla, and Twist, which is all they offer) serves East Coast-style ice cream out of a Mr. Softee truck from 1961. The draw is in its simplicity: Their high-quality ice cream is made with ingredients from local dairies and creameries, and they pride themselves on not “hiding behind” overpowering toppings like gummy bears. Instead, the only choices are sprinkles or Maldon sea salt flakes.

Don’t miss:

The twist, a best-of-both-worlds swirl of chocolate and vanilla.
